Editorial Policy

Publishing

In the first version of the project, content is published only by the project owner via Git. The site architecture allows for future addition of editors and reviewers.

Translations

Publishing in a single language is allowed with a clear note that translation is unavailable. Unchecked machine translation is not published as final content.

Fact Checking

Every factual claim must:

  • Be matched against a read primary source
  • Have a stated confidence level (1–5 stars)
  • Contain a source reference next to the claim

Separating Facts from Opinions

Any claim not requiring proof must be explicitly labeled as editorial opinion, speculation, or recommendation. Users must always know which is which.

Updates

Content is reviewed on a schedule:

  • Fast-moving fields — at least annually
  • Established fields — at least every two years
  • Urgent updates — when high-quality data contradicts key claims

Corrections

Discovered errors are corrected within 48 hours. All significant changes are documented in the changelog.
